Egipto asegura lugar en el Campeonato Mundial FIVB femenino Sub-18


Egipto aseguró la vacante de la CAVBpara el Campeonato Mundial Femenino Sub-18 en Tailandia

El Cairo, Egipto, 27 de marzo de 2013 – Las anfitrionas de Egipto sellaron un lugar en el Campeonato Mundial FIVB femenino Sub-18 luego de ganar contra Ruanda 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) en el segundo día del Campeonato Africano de Naciones Femenino 2013 (Sub-18) de El Cairo.

Esta fue la segunda victoria de Egipto tras vencer a Túnez en sets corridos (25-13, 25-16, 25-16) en 64 minutos en la jornada inaugural.

Las egipcias mejoraron su relación partidos ganados y perdidos a 2-0 por lo que ahora se aseguraron de clasificar para el Campeonato del Mundo aunque pierdan su último partido contra Argelian el miércoles en el Army Club Hall en El Cairo.

Túnez se recuperó de su derrota ante Egipto del primer día para ganarle a Argelia 3-1 (25-16, 25-16, 14-25, 25-14) en 85 minutos. Túnez mejoró a 1-1, mientras que Argelia se redujo a la misma proporción.

La tercera y última jornada del Campeonato Africano tendrá el juego de  Egipto y Argelia, éste último debe ganar para asegurar uno de los tres boletos al Campeonato Mundial Femenino Sub-18 que se celebrará del 26 julio a 4 agosto en Nakhon Ratchasima, Tailandia.

Túnez y Ruanda también jugarán entre sí para determinar quién gana el boleto a Tailandia.
