Presidente de Perú da la bienvenida a la selección nacional cadete en el Palacio de Gobierno


El presidente peruano le dijo al equipo a tomar en serio su papel, sosteniendo que: "Ser una figura nacional viene de la mano de sacrificio”

Lima, Perú, 9 de enero de 2013 – El equipo peruano femenino cadete de Perú, ganadores del Oro en el Campeonato Sudamericano Femenino Cadetes, fueron el centro de la atención en una ceremonia en su honor en el Palacio de Gobierno de Lima.

El presidente peruano, Ollanta Humala Tasso,  dio la bienvenida a los miembros del equipo Sub-18 a la capital peruana, junto con Nadine Heredia, la primera dama, Francisco Boza, Presidente del Instituto Peruano del Deporte, Patricia Salas, ministra de Educación, Cenaida Uribe, congresista y medallista olímpica en Voleibol, Luis Linares, Presidente de la Federación Peruana de Voleibol (FPV), y Rosa García, miembro del directorio de la Federación Peruana de Voleibol, también medallista olímpica en voleibol.

Cada una de las niñas recibió un diPad nuevo, mientras que la capitana Angela Leyva aceptó en nombre de sus compañeras de equipo, un cheque por cinco mil nuevos soles (moneda local).

El equipo ganó la medalla de oro tras derrotar a Brasil en el XVIII Campeonato Sudamericano de Cadetes, y se clasificó para el Campeonato Mundial de Cadetes 2013 que se celebrará en Tailandia del 5 al 14 julio.
