Venezuela's Shirley Florian
Marco BONITTA (ITA) - Poland head coach
On the win:
"This is our biggest win. We prepared a lot. We respected our opponent because they won one set in the match against the USA."
"Today we played so well, especially in serving and block defence. Right from the start, the story of the match was for us. I'm happy we've won, it is important."
Tomas FERNANDEZ (CUB) - Venezuela head coach
On today's loss:
"The result was not surprising. Poland is a strong team. They did well in strategy and they served well too, especially at the beginning. So it was difficult for us to organise counter-attack."
"Although we tried hard, we still made a lot of errors in serving, blocking and attacking. Poland is one of the 10 strongest teams in the world, and it (today's match) has provided us with a learning opportunity."
On whether he is satisfied with the Venezuelan team's performances at the Olympic Games:
"The teams we've met here are all very strong. It's not possible to have a totally satisfactory performance in any game, especially at a high international level. We made a heroic effort to prepare."
"I'm not satisfied (with the result today). I believe it was one of the worst performances we've had here. (Although) our opponents are among the top 10 teams in the world. I hope in the future there will be room for improvement, because they (the players) are all very young."
