Russia happy with their fourth win

Russian Head Coach Vladimir Alekno motivates his players in their impressive victory over Serbia on Sunday in the Men's Olympic Tournament

Vadim Khamuttskikh (RUS) - captain

On the match:

"Today we are happy to get this result without much effort and we have entered an important part of the tournament. We hope we will continue without many problems."

On whether Russia will fight Poland for the top place in Pool A:

"What do you think?"

Vladimir Alekno (RUS) - coach

"I am happy to say we have achieved our goal of making it to quarterfinal. The next step is to prepare for the next match. Poland (Russia's next opponent) are playing better here in Beijing than at previous tournaments and it won't be easy for Brazil today to beat them."

On the quarterfinals:

"As we have set high goals in this competition it doesn't really matter whom we are going confront in the quarterfinals."

On his decision to alternate the team's on-court player combination:

"It was to give some of our players a chance to have a run and others a chance to rest."

Hamdy Awad (EGY) - captain

On the match:

"We made many errors today, particularly in our service and attacking. The prospects of our making the quarterfinals are now slim, but we hope we can play better in our next match."

On their final preliminary match against Serbia:

"We hope we can do better in our game against Serbia. We have a very strong desire to attain our first win in the Olympic Games."

Ahmed Zakaria (EGY) - coach

On the match:

"We played like a junior team. We made a lot of mistakes especially in reception and service. Everything went very, very badly and we hope we can play better against Serbia."

"Three of our players were injured today, we will try to get them better for the next match."
