Tunisia using FIVB Women's Junior World Championship in training to be better

Lima, Peru, July 27, 2011 - In Africa, volleyball is not consolidated yet. However, there are good efforts and advances in order to develop a high international level in the sport.
In FIVB Volleyball Women’s Junior World Championship Peru 2011, the entries for the representatives of this continent are two: one of them is Tunisia that, without a great experience, is gaining confidence and technique on each match. Egypt is also competing in the event.

Although Tunisia’s delegation had many complications facing teams of high level like Japan or Peru, Tunisia coach Ben Kaid Slim thinks that this is not for lack of training enough, but for other reasons.
“Our problem is height,” Slim said. “We are far from having an international level because our players are not too high. Is not an issue of technique, but a morphological one.”
However, players will continue working and striving in Tunisia to get better with each tournament they enter.
“We think we improve in each moment and we take every match as a way of practicing,” said Maroua Boughanmi, captain from Tunisia.
Volleyball in Tunisia, and Africa in general, is young and inexperienced. But teams will have a great future and for this practice and constancy are extremely needed.
