Press Conference Venezuela vs. Thailand

Daymari Brito, Captain of Venezuela

“It was a very tough loss for us after being in front 2-0. We could not dominate the next sets since the beginning as we wanted. Now we have to finish the tournament playing for the fifteenth position.”

Siriporn Ketsanoi, Captain of Thailand

“This was the best Thailand has played in the tournament. We were not as good as we wanted in the first two sets but then we improved. Venezuela battled hard and they have some tall players who are very good.”

Sergio Rivero, Head Coach of Venezuela

“After we played Thailand for the first time we knew this was going to be a tough match. There is an old proverb in volleyball which says ‘If you don’t win in three, you end losing in five’, and it was true once again. Congratulations to Thailand.”

Nipon Jamgjang, Head Coach of Thailand

“For the first and second set our reception wasn’t good and our spikes were too soft. Then we improved in both aspects of the game and it was exciting to win the match.”
