More 2005 Junior Women’s Under-20 World Championship

Birthday
for five athletes

24, 2005 - Five athletes had their birthday during the
FIVB Women's U20 World Championship and a few days
before. They are Martina Matic (Croatia, 21/07/1986),
Saki Sugimoto (Japan, 21/07/1986), Anna Beskova (Russia,
22/07/1986), Ivana Nesovic (Serbia and Montenegro,
23/07/1988) and Ergul Avcý (Turkey, 24/07/1987).
The Organizing Committee of the games took it under
consideration and offered souvenir presents to the four
of them on the first day after the games, with the
familiar birthday tune playing for them, whereas, on the
second day of the games, there was a bigger surprise for
Ergul.
The athletes were surprised and happy because they
didn't expect it, so they thanked the President of
Turkish Federation Prof. Dr. Husnu Can for this kind
thought and gesture. |
