Korea Team
|
All the players from the Korean national junior women’s team
have been chosen from the leading clubs and high school
teams in the country but most of them have already gained
international experienced having played in the national
youth girl’s team.
The Korean Junior team has been traditionally strong in the
Asian zone, finishing regularly in the top three positions
at the Asian Championship from 1980-2000. However, the team
missed out on a World Championship title after taking
consecutive crowns in 1977 and 1981.
Mr Kim Kyung-Su is the head coach of the national junior
women’s team and he is expected to do well due to his good
reputation and outstanding career as one of the best high
school coaches in Korea.
