China Team |
Nine out of the 12 players of
the Chinese national Women’s U20 team participated in the
2002 Asian Junior Women’s Championship in Vietnam where they
won the gold medal.
China’s successful defense of their Girls U18 World
Championship title held in Poland during August illustrates
the bright and exciting talent coming through the age groups
in China.
The Women’s U20 side has an average height of 1.85m and
average age of 17.83 years and it is these amazing
statistics which best illustrate the strength of the China’s
under age group Volleyball.
The main task of this team is to foster young and talented
players targeting the 2008 Olympic Games.
The team has a high expectancy and the fighting spirit with
the characteristics of a combination of height and quickness
and all round techniques will serve them well.
