Cuba Coach- Ana Ivis Diáz
Martínez |
Ana Ivis Diáz Martínez, 49, has been coaching junior teams
in Cuba since 1983 and has participated in three Junior
World Championships and one Youth World Championship where
Cuba always finished among the best eight places.
Since 1970 to 1982, she took part in four World
Championships, three Olympic Games, four World Cups, three
Pan-American Games, three Centro American Games and three
World University Games, where her teams finished second and
third.
A member of the Cuban Volleyball Federation Volleyball
Commission, she has been playing a crucial role in
developing the young up and coming talent in the country but
her best moment came as a player when Cuba won the World
Championship for the first time in their history in 1978.
