Team profile

The Polish National Junior Team consists of the players born in 1989, 1990 and 1991. They have been selected from a variety of clubs from all over Poland.

The first selection took place during the national Youth Olympic Hopes Tournament in 2004, when the most talented boys were picked from the participating teams and incorporated into the national program designed for this age category.

In September 2005, the best players selected from the group were approved for the Volleyball Masters School in Spala.

In the 2005/2006 season, they took part in the 2nd National League competition, and in 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 they successfully competed on the floors of the 1st National League. Last season a majority of the players were already playing full-time for professional league clubs in the 1st league and national champions league (PLUS Liga).

The Junior Men's Team has participated in numerous international tournaments and competitions. Their most remarkable successes were the silver medal in the Youth Boys European Championship in Vienna in 2007 and fifth place at the Youth Boys World Championship in Mexico.

Three players from this group have already been selected for the senior national men's team: Karol Klos, Fabian Drzyzga and Pawel Zatorski.
