Head coach Aliaksandr Herasimau graduated from the Gorki
State Pedagogical Institute Physical Culture faculty in 1973.
He was a volleyball player until 1987, winning the RSFSR
twice, the USSR Cup once in 1978 and multiple championships with the Soviet
Armed Forces.
From 1987-1991, Herasimau was the assistant coach of VC
SKA Minsk, and from 1996-2005 he was the head coach of VC Zapadny Bug Brest
(Men's Division A in the National Championship of Belarus). With Zapadny he led
the team to two silvers and one bronze in the Belarus Championship. Under his
supervision the club qualified to the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup.
From 2005-2007 he worked as the head coach and director
of the Saratovski branch of SC Dinamo Moscow.
Herasimau became head coach of the Men's Junior National
Team in 2007 and is also the head coach of the Men's Senior National Team of
the Republic of Belarus.
