Italy Coach - Roberto Santilli

Roberto Santilli, 38, started his coaching career very early on when he was only 20-years-old but has only more recently taken on international roles with Italy.

It was only three years ago when he got his first international break taking over in charge of the Italian national junior team. He immediately impressed with a third place finish at the 2001 World Championship.

But his best was yet to come as in 2002 he led his charges to first place at the 2002 European Championship, to clinch a spot in the 2003 World Championship.

Young, smart and carefully astute Santilli is one of Italy’s golden coaches and has relishing in his new role of coach of both the men’s and women’s junior teams.
