Poland captain apologises to fans

Poland

Coach Daniel Castellani: Brazil played a great game. For us this is a very difficult tournament and today we played so bad. I hope the last two games we play better and win.

Captain Michal Bakiewicz: Brazil played a lot better than us today. On behalf of the team I want to say sorry to the fans, to the public, that we were not able to take the match and play as we can. We hope the next two matches are much better.

Brazil

Coach Bernardinho: We played a good match. I think Mr. Castellani switched some players today and gave room to some players who do not usually play. We put on a lot of pressure from the beginning of the match and that helped us. We served quite well and our blocking defence was quite efficient. Our game was fluent and consistent. It was a very good win. We hope we can continue to grow in the next two matches.

Libero Sergio: Today we played very well, especially defence and blocking, and that is why we could take the Polish team’s power away. Also we could do good serve reception. After the two games in Osaka we learned much more, and that was one factor for today’s win.
