The Venezuelan Development Centre was founded 1991 with the aim to develop Volleyball in the South American continent.

From the start, many courses, seminars and clinics have been held in the Development Centre and technical assistance has been provided through the recruitment of talented players from the continent.

The courses have been enriched with the instruction from course directors and instructors from Asia, Europe, North America and South America.  

Over 350 coaches have received their international qualification from courses held in the Centre.  

Refereeing courses are often held in order to keep national and international referees up-to-date with the ever-changing trends and rules of Volleyball.
