"I hope we still can get a medal" says Turkey's leader and top scorer Neslihan Darnel

Neslihan Darnel scored 27 points for Turkey along the way to a 3-2 win over the Republic of Korea

London, Great Britain, August 3, 2012 – “Our performance is getting better and better. Overall, we have to make fewer mistakes in every fundamental” singled out Neslihan Darnel after anchoring Turkey to a 3-2 win over Korea by scoring 27 points. “We still have a chance to get a medal, I hope. I can tell more after the last game in the Pool with USA”.
“We want to get three points from this game, we played hard and the result we got is finally good” added spiker Bahar Toksoy. “The next game against USA will be very tough; they are a strong team but we’ll put up a fight”.
“This is our first participation in the Olympics and we have already 6 points. In the next match with USA we will try to take some more to advance to the 1/4 finals” stressed Turkey head coach Marco Aurelio Motta.
“Compared to our match with Brazil we were not in good shape today, but it is important that we still played our best” said Korea Kim Hee-Jin. “We will definitely cheer up for the next match against China, an opponent we know pretty well”.
