Maria Perepelkina, Player of Russia: During training we have tougher games than the one today. Regarding our matches thus far, the game with Dominican Republic was not simple, but today was especially easy. I think I was not always good at blocking today. It was bad for me.

On the match against Japan on Friday:
It will be the difficult game and we are preparing. We know the team well and we need to understand how everyone plays and develop our own tactics.

Lydia Ooulmou, Captain of Algeria: Against Russia, it's just impossible. They are much higher than us. It's not only the height, but they are much stronger in defence and attack. We should have done better. We really have difficulties to attack. We had some problems with reception.

On the next match against Italy:
They (Italy) are much more technical and less higher than Russia.

Zohra Bensalem, Player of Algeria: It was very difficult. Russia are one of the best teams in the world. We tried to impose our style of play, but they didn't allow us to do it. It was very interesting for us to gain experience and it gave us motivation to improve.
