The setter did his job and we did ours - Polish Mozdzonek

Poland setter Lukasz Zygadlo did his job and something else to help his team's victory over Italy

Mauro Berruto, Coach of Italy: Really nothing important to comment. They played better than us in the second part of the match. We are better than this and luckily we this is not the end of the competition and we have many matches ahead.

Cristian Savani, Captain of Italy: It was a very difficult match. We started very well but Poland played very well and they are a team in good shape.

Michal Lasko, Player of Italy: It's been a bad day in general and a very bad fourth set. I don't know what to say. Let's look at things in a positive way; it was an important match and we needed to break the ice. I think we were feeling too tense. We had mistakes that we usually don't have.

Andrea Anastasi, Coach of Poland: Italy played real well in the first set and then we started to make the adjustments. The team that played better won the match. They served incredibly well in the first set, but it is difficult for anyone to keep serving with that violence and precision.

Marcin Mozdzonek, Captain of Poland: It was a very good evening and we played against one of the best teams in the world. We started a little bit nervous and they served very well and with good technique. From the second set on, we improved our reception and the setter did his job and we did ours.
