FIVB reopens Athletes’ Commission candidature process!

Following the approval of FIVB Board of Administration  during its meeting earlier this month, the FIVB has re-opened the window for receiving candidatures for the Athletes’ Commission, with the historic first-ever elections to the Commission planned for 2021.

The procedure for the election and appointment of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission members was approved in line with updates to the FIVB Constitution implemented by the FIVB World Congress 2018 in Cancun, Mexico.

The athletes willing to put their candidature forward for this prestigious role, shall apply via their respective National Federations, which must submit the full file by 16 December 2020. The applications shall consist of the signed copy of the candidature form (to be downloaded here), a copy of the candidate’s passport and CV, as well as the documentation to demonstrate that the candidate meets the eligibility criteria. Those candidatures received by the FIVB during the first submission’s window will also be considered.

The full timeline of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission election process as well as the campaigning and voting procedures will be announced at a later stage. To download the full document about the procedure for the FIVB Athletes’ Commission elections, please click here. Further information about the elections will be uploaded at the FIVB Athletes' Commission page on the FIVB website.
