Bidding process launched for 2021 Beach Volleyball World Championships

Lausanne, Switzerland, July 31, 2018 - The FIVB is pleased to launch the bidding process for the 2021 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. Expressions of interest in bidding for the organisation of the competition should be received by no later than 5pm Central European Standard Time on August 15, 2018.

Completed Expression of Interest Forms should be sent to bidding@fivb.org. The FIVB may conduct a final round of bidding based on the proposals received.

A packed stadium at the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in Vienna, Austria

The 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships were held on Danube Island in Vienna, Austria with Brazil's Evandro Goncalves and Andre Loyola winning gold in the men's event and Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst of Germany claiming victory in the women's. The 2019 edition of the Beach Volleyball World Championships has been awarded to Hamburg, Germany.
