FIVB joins Play True Day celebrations

FIVB celebrates Play True Day on April 10
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 10, 2018 – The FIVB is fully committed to promoting clean sport and celebrates Play True Day on April 10.

The movement has gained momentum since April 10 was declared Play True Day. Originally initiated by countries in South America in 2014, Play True Day continues to raise awareness about the fight against doping with new countries and organisations joining the campaign every year.

The FIVB, through its Play Clean programme continues to educate players on anti-doping matters and organises outreach programmes and campaigns as part of its commitment to promoting clean sport and clean athletes.

The Slovenian Volleyball Federation is another federation participating in the Play True Day campaign, celebrating some of the key values of volleyball and sport. A number of Slovenian clubs also contributed to the day's activities, including vice-champions Calcit Volley, OK Vital Ljubljana and OD Olimp Ljubljana. These included a tournament held in the country's capital.

A tournament was organised by Slovenian club OK Vital Ljubljana.
