Lausanne, Switzerland, March 1, 2018 - The 2017 FIVB President's Activity Report looks back at some of the important projects the International Volleyball Federation has initiated after an Olympic year in 2016, in which volleyball and beach volleyball were two of the most watched sports on the Olympic programme, and in the run-up to the inaugural edition of the Volleyball Nations League in 2018.

The report details key achievements in volleyball and beach volleyball over the last year, and examines the FIVB's initiatives to make volleyball more accessible for everyone.

Off the court, the FIVB celebrated a milestone anniversary in Paris in 2017, which provided an opportunity to review with pride all that has been achieved over the last 70 years. It was also a chance to look forward with excitement to where the FIVB can continue to push the boundaries of innovation.

The new year promises to be exciting with the Volleyball Nations League and Challenger Cup getting underway. Fans can also look forward to the 2018 FIVB Volleyball World Championships with this year's men's edition jointly hosted by Bulgaria and Italy and the women's tournament taking place in cities throughout Japan. The 2018 beach volleyball calendar also continues to grow and will provide more opportunities to witness incredible live sporting moments than ever before.
