Watch: Ngapeth stuns fans with phenomenal footwork

Earvin Ngapeth and Tine Urnaut combine to provide spectacular action with Azimut Modena against Wixo LPR Piacenza in the Italian League.
Lausanne, Switzerland, January 12, 2018 - France superstar Earvin Ngapeth has once again stunned the volleyball world with some incredible defending in his latest appearance on Wednesday in Piacenza.

The 26-year-old outside hitter provided some incredibly fancy footwork getting the ball back before Slovenia's Tine Urnaut brings it home with a cross-court kill to give Azimut Modena the point against Wixo LPR Piacenza in the Italian A1 League.

As it turned out Modena fell to Piacenza in five dramatic sets before more than 2,000 spectators at the PalaBlanca, but Ngapeth's antics once again produced an amazing show for fans across the world - prompting the Italian TV commentator to compare him with fellow-French football superstar of the 1980s Michel Platini.

Ngapeth's latest escapades follow his breaking an all-time Italian League record with 12 aces in a single match for Modena against Biosi Indexa Sora.

Modena currently trail Sir Safety Conad Perugia and 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship silver medallists Cucine Lube Civitanova in the standings of the Italian League after 17 rounds of play.
