Lube finish undefeated in Pool A

 
Osmany Juantorena beats the block of Sarmaye Bank's Ghasem Karkhaneh as he powers Cucine Lube Civitanova to a straight-set win at the 2017 FIVB Club World Championship.
Opole, Poland, December 14, 2017 - Italian champions Cucine Lube Civianova shut out two-time Asian champions Sarmaye Bank of Tehran 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-23) to finish at the top of Pool A, undefeated, at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championshipa.

Lube join defending champions Sada Cruzeiro Volei in advancing from the Opole pool to the semifinals of the competition, where they meet local favourites Skra Belchatow who finished second in Pool B in Lodz.



Lube were powered by Osmany Juantorena, who scored 23 points with a kill efficiency of 71% (19/24).
