Brazil and China confirm participation in 2018 Montreux Volley Masters

The 33rd edition of the Montreux Volley Masters will be held from September 4 to 9, 2018, with Brazil and China leading the pack of top teams
Montreux, Switzerland, December 10, 2017 – Reigning Olympic champions China and defending champions Brazil have confirmed their participation in the 33rd edition of the Montreux Volley Masters from September 4 to 9, 2018.

Other leading nations like Italy and the Netherlands will also be present, while Canada, Cameroon, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Peru, Poland and Turkey have also voiced their interest in participating in the long-standing international invitational tournament.

Montreux Volley Masters Strategic Committee President
Georges-Andre Carrel said: “We are once again going to witness the ‘creme de la creme’ of international women’s volleyball in the Pierrier in Clarens. And maybe we will even get a foretaste of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.”

The Montreux Volley Masters will take place in September, just before the 2018 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship which will take place in Japan from September 29 to October 20.

“The teams will start their last preparations for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship with the Montreux Volley Masters in the beginning of September,” Carrel said. “This means we are going to see the top teams in peak form. There is no doubt that sports fans can look forward to volleyball at its finest.”
