Iran holds 12th Assembly of Talent Finders

Iranian talent finders gathered in Tehran
Tehran, Iran, November 25, 2017 – The 12th Assembly of Iranian Talent Finders took place in Tehran over two days featuring male and female participants from as many as 20 provinces.

Dr. Mahmoud Afshardoust, Secretary General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF), along with Jafar Hoote-Ham, Director of Talent Finding in Iran, and Javad Mehregan, head of the Research & Education Department of the IRIVF, participated in the opening ceremony.

Dr. Afshardoust said: “In recent years there have been so many activities done, but that is not sufficient and more steps should be taken to discover volleyball talents.
“The talent finders should ensure a comprehensive talent-finding programme. There might be some talents who are still waiting to be discovered, missing a chance to join this programme. Thus, the required changes must be made to include all.”

Another point emphasised was the role of education and the connection to be fostered between the talent-finders and the IRIVF's education centre. The hope is that it will help to accelerate the talent-finding process.

Javad Mehregan also presented new aspects of the talent finding process to the meeting's attendees.
