It was a positive performance for Argentina as they look ahead to the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

Delfina Villar and Brenda Churin kicked off the Argentine celebrations with a 2-0 (21-17, 21-15) victory over Brazilian rivals Maria Sena De Paula Silva and Thamela Coradello Galil. Villar and Churin reached the gold-medal match despite a defeat in the group stage against Venezuela. They strode forward after that, reaching the final with a semi-final victory over Bolivia.
