World Grand Champions Cup: Iran take bronze with 3-2 win over France

 
Iran prevailed in the tie-break set against France to win the bronze medal in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup
Osaka, Japan, September 17, 2017 – Iran bagged its first ever medal in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup, following their 3-2 (38-36, 25-23, 22-25, 25-27, 15-11) win over France.

Iran missed the podium in the last edition, when they finished fourth. After three participations, Iran made its best finish at the World Grand Champions Cup with a bronze medal. 

The Men’s World Grand Champions Cup features a total of six teams that play in a round-robin tournament from September 12 to 17. Nagoya and Osaka host the seventh edition of the tournament.
