FIVB Outreach Programme huge success at Women's U23 Worlds

Slovenia Women's U23 National Team players attend the FIVB Outreach Programme in Ljubljana.
Ljubljana, Slovenia, September 15, 2017 - The FIVB Athletes Outreach Programme proved a great success at the FIVB Women's U23 World Championship here, with dozens of players from eleven out of twelve countries participating in the special event organised by the FIVB in collaboration with the Slovenian Anti-Doping Organisation (SLOADO).

The special educational programme, which included an anti-doping quiz and distribution of informational materials, was available for all the athletes and team staff in an effort to test and improve their knowledge on doping and properly point out the dangers of doping, which are becoming a great risk across the entire sports world.

The players who participated in the voluntary programme founded it fun and informative as it provided even those lacking in awareness with insight into the problems and dangers arising from the use of banned substances.

The use of a quiz to help push through the goals of the Outreach Programme proved a huge success amongst the players who competed amongst themselves to see who would be quickest at providing correct responses and get the chance at winning a specially designed FIVB t-shirt.
