Coaches Course Level II opens in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, June 5, 2017 – The NORCECA/FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic is hosting an International Coaches Course Level II as part of its annual programme of activities.

The course is under the direction of Spaniard Francisco Hervas, who has accumulated a long experience as FIVB instructor.

“I really believe in the good and solid formation as the ideal way to grow,” Hervas said. “I am grateful that you have chosen me again to teach this course as I am convinced we will be achieving all the objectives.”

Dominican Volleyball Federation vice-president Angel Rivas welcomed the participants in the activity attended by Dominican Olympic Committee president Luis Mejia Oviedo and secretary Antonio Acosta, Ministry of Sports representative Tony Mesa and development centre director Nelson Ramirez.

NORCECA president Cristobal Marte Hoffiz underlined the growth experienced by the national federation of Central America and the Carribean, which their national teams have been able to position in the qualifying events to the main continental and world events.

The course will run until Friday, June 9, at the premises of the regional centre, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
