Dominican Republic conclude successful national sport administration course

The Dominican Republic completed a successful sport administration course from May 18 to 21
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, May 21, 2017 – The NORCECA Regional Centre for Development, in collaboration with the Dominican Volleyball Federation, Dominican Olympic Committee and the Olympic Solidarity completed a successful Sport Administration course from May 18 to 21.

The course was conducted for the development of volleyball leaders at the national level.

A large body of Olympic leaders from different national federations attended the opening ceremony.

Acting president of the national federation Mr Victor Valdez Gil welcomed all the participants and guests. Gil was pleased with the national federation’s effort to organise the course. Likewise he also acknowledged the National Olympic Committee’s contribution, through the Olympic Solidarity, in supporting the development vision of FIVB president Dr. Ary S. Graça F° and NORCECA president Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.

Olympic Solidarity coordinator Arturo Acosta urged the participants to take full advantage of the different conferences they will be conducting in the future.

Dominican Olympic Committee president Luis Mejia Oviedo express his appreciation to the national federation for being one of the organisations that is concerned with the training of all volleyball players. 

“I commend the work done by Prof. Nelson Jose Ramirez for organising this course and continues to be an example in Dominican sports.

The course topics are Olympic sport profile, ethics and sport, conflict management and problem management, and strategic baking and teamwork.
