Cairo, Egypt, May 14, 2017- The CAVB Coaches High Performance Seminar came to close after four days of great and productive discussion between 70 coaches coming from 22 African countries.

At the end of the seminar, CAVB president Dr. Amr Elwani expressed his gratitude to seminar instructors Percy Oncken of Brazil and Sherif Elshemerly of Egypt.

"I'm happy to see this great number of coaches from each African corner getting more and more experience from participation in such kind of seminar in Africa," Nigeria coach Rakiya Mohammed said. “I think all of the coaches can now transfer the knowledge to the coaches in their respective countries, which will reflect in volleyball across the continent.”

Each participant received a certificate from Dr. Elwani at the closing ceremony, where representatives of the seminar hosts Wadi Degla Club attended. CAVB Executive Director Howyda Monday was also in attendance.

CAVB Coaches Commission president Sherif Elshemerly thanked all the CAVB staff for their efforts of making the seminar successful. He promised to conduct more seminars in the future, which can be essential for the progress of African volleyball at the world level.

CAVB Coaches Commission member Mayam Blaise spoke about the benefits of the High Performance Seminar.
