With the match tied at 2-2, Terese Cannon and Nicolette Martin posted the deciding third win for the Women of Troy by posting a 2-1 (21-19, 18-21, 15-13) victory over Pepperdine’s Skylar Caputo and Heidi Dyer in the No. 3 match.  In the deciding set, Cannon and Martin took a 12-10 lead, but Pepperdine paired stayed within a point for the next four rallies. Cannon’s attack netted the final point in the match to seal the win for the Trojans.

While the Women of Troy only played one match Sunday in improving their record against Pepperdine to 10-8 as USC won its 100th dual in their last 103 duals, the Wave had to play twice starting with a 3-0 victory over Hawai’i in the finals of the consolation bracket.
