Monastir, Tunisia, April 6, 2017 - Hosts Carthage beat Uganda's Ndejje University 3-0 (25-8, 25-19, 25-14) in their first match of the competition for a great opening of the 27th edition of the African Women's Volleyball Club Championship at Mzali hall in Monastir.

It was an easy first set for last year's silver medallists club who dominated throughout the match as Ndejje fell behind from the very start and failed to recover against the resolute Carthage.

The match followed the Opening Ceremony of the competition, which continues on Friday with seven more matches, including the defending champions Al Ahly of Cairo taking on Kenya Prisons.
