Paraguay set to host first South American YOG qualifier

 
Beach volleyball made its YOG debut at Nanjing 2014
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 6, 2017 – Teams will begin their pursuit of the five places on offer at the Buenos Aires 2018 Olympic Youth Games when Paraguay’s capital Asuncion hosts the first of six South American (CSV) qualifiers from April 7-9. 

Young players representing Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela will be fighting for a place in the third edition of the Youth Olympic Games, an international multi-sport event held every four years.

The Games will run from October 6-18 2018 and features a total of 3,786 athletes split evenly between men and women. It will be the third edition of YOG following Singapore 2010 and Nanjing 2014. 


South America will host six qualifying tournaments over 2017 and 2018 with the five top-ranked countries heading to Argentina.
