Volleyball celebrates Play True Day on April 10
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 10, 2017 - Play True Day will be celebrated around the world on April 10 with a programme of activities that promote clean sport.
The Play True Day was originally initiated by countries in South America in 2014 who, in cooperation with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), proclaimed April 10 "Play True Day".
In 2016, five European countries - Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Croatia and Malta - also organised Play True Day events. Doping prevention and educational activities were opened to young players in these countries to encourage a process of learning from one's peers in accordance with the prePlay programme (www.preplay.si)
The five European countries have now also been joined by Romania, Puerto Rico and Paraguay with the aim of bringing the project to an even wider audience in 2017.
For more information, refer to the calendar of events on the Play True Day website.
