FIVB President Ary Graça discusses future of volleyball in Switzerland with Swiss Parliament

Lausanne, Switzerland, March 15, 2017 - FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° met with several key politicians at the Federal Assembly in Bern yesterday to discuss the development of volleyball in Switzerland.

President Graça met with the Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport, Jürg Stahl, President of the National Council, and Olivier Français, member of the Council of States. The meeting was focused on developing new ways to promote volleyball in Switzerland and to encourage more people of all ages and genders to engage in the sport. The FIVB is committed to developing volleyball all around the world as it looks to become the number one family sport.

FIVB President Graça said: “It was an honour to visit the Swiss Parliament yesterday and be given the opportunity to discuss the future of volleyball with key parliamentary members. The discussion we had was really encouraging and I am excited about the future of the sport here in Switzerland. We have a clear strategic plan and I am convinced that the FIVB will help the sport reach its immense global potential in years to come.”
