Mauritius beach volleyball tour final leg features tough matchups

Evans/Sauteur lead the men's rankings after the second leg of the Mauritius Beach Volleyball Tour
Flic en Flac, Mauritius, March 11, 2017- The third and final leg of the Mauritius Beach Volleyball Tour 2017 will feature intense match-ups when it concludes on March 19 at the Flic en Flac public beach.

The beach volleyball competition has attracted 15 men’s pairs and 12 women’s pairs.

In the men’s tournament, 2016 winners Gilbert Alfred and Akash Doorbraz finished on top of the first leg, following their win over Eric Louise and Evans Sauteur in the tie-break. Louise/Sauteur, however, finished on top of the second leg, with a tie-break win over Alfred/Doorbraz.

Louise/Sauteur and Alfred/Doorbraz both have 180 points, but the former are on top of the standings with better points ratio.

In the women’s tournament, Ange Ramdoss and Vanessa Chellumben prove they are out to defend their title, as the pair won both legs.
