Snow festival set to hit the Austrian Alps
Lausanne, Switzerland, March 7, 2017 – The Austrian Alps will come alive with snow volleyball when Wagrain-Kleinarl welcomes a three-day FIVB Volleyball Your Way camp from March 22 to 24, which will be followed by a two-day tournament on March 25 and 26.
The official opening ceremony and the first two days of workshops, training activities, tournaments and entertainment will be held on several snow volleyball courts at the Valley Station Flying Mozart in Wagrain.
On Friday, March 24, all the action will move up to the Flying Mozart Mountain Station which sits 1,850 metres above sea level, where kids will be able to play on the centre court and meet the professional athletes who will compete over the weekend.
The Volleyball Your Way Snow Festival will be attended by representatives of the FIVB Sports Development Department and the President of the Austrian Volleyball Federation Peter Kleinmann will also be among the guests at the opening ceremony.
Joining him will be Stefan Passrugger, the managing director of Wagrain-Kleinarl tourism, and Robert Tschaut from the Salzburg Regional School Council.
Most importantly about 750 kids and young athletes from six to 17 years old, from schools in the Salzburg region and from Austrian volleyball clubs will receive invitations to be part of this inaugural event.
