Cameroon organises successful beach volleyball event
Yaounde, Cameroon, March 5, 2017 – The participants and the media were delighted to see the project of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation come to fruition, when a first beach volleyball event finally took place in the capital after long preparations.
Cameroon Volleyball Federation President Serges Abouem provided support to the newly appointed beach volleyball commission team led by Olivier Komb Minyem.

The two-day tournament on the newly built beach volleyball facility at the Lycee General Leclerc attracted a total of 30 pairs in the junior and senior categories of the double-gender event.
Charles Bitimi/Yvan Ngossengue topped the men’s senior competition, where 12 teams competed in the double elimination format. Victoire Ngon Ntame/Iroume Mekong topped the senior women’s podium.
Meanwhile, Ludovik Bolomick/Salim Bouba won the men’s junior category, and Folem Wati/Ahirindi reigned in the women’s junior category.
Cameroon will participate in the CAVB qualifiers for all the age group and senior competitions this year.
