Ecuador looking good at second stop of S. American Tour

 
The second day of the tournament will be on Saturday
 Lausanne, Switzerland, March 3, 2017 – Thirty-one matches were played on the first day of the second stop of the South American Beach Volleyball Tour (CSVP) at Playa Hermosa, Ancon, in Peru.

In women’s Group A, Ecuador 1 (Mishelle/ Vilela) and Peru 1 (Serna/ Serna) picked up two victories each to lead the standings. The two duos will face each other on Saturday.

In Group B, Brazil 1 (Lili/ Josi) and Argentina 1 (Zonta/ Milesi) are first and second, respectively. The Brazilians won both their matches while Zonta and Milesi started with a victory but were then defeated by Brazil 2 (Andressa/ Paula Hoffman) 21-15, 21-15.

In Group C, Colombia 2 (Diana/ Viviana) started with two victories. In the same group, Paraguay 2 (Erika/ Mishelle) defeated top-ranked compatriots Pati/ Filippo 21-17, 21-15 but their second match against Colombia 1 (Andrea/ Gorda) had to be rescheduled for lack of natural light.
 
In Group D, Chile 1 (Rivas Zapata/ Mardones) are undefeated with two wins, followed by Uruguay 1 (Fortunati/ Bausero) who beat compatriots Simon/ Altamirano 21-19, 21-18 and Chile 2 (Cata Pulgar/ Paula Vallejos) 21-18, 21-19.

 
In the men’s section, Ecuador’s Jaramillo/ Quinones lead Group A along with Peru 1 (Soto/ Heredia) as both teams were undefeated.

In Group D, Uruguay 1 (Vieyto/ Cairus) and Argentina 1 (Azzad / Capogrosso) were undefeated, although the Argentines had to go to three sets to beat their No. 2 team (Zelayeta/ Amieva).
 
In Group B, Brazil 1 (Oscar/ Hevaldo) needed three sets to beat Brazil 2 (Maia/ Jonas) but had no trouble defeating Peru 3 in their second match. Colombia 1 (Paternina/ Corredor) remained undefeated but were taken to three sets by Brazil 2.

In Group C, the Chilean duo of Grimalt E./ Grimalt M.) leads, followed by Colombia 2 (Diaz/ Villanueva).
