Record 28 teams registered for 2017 Men's African Club Championship

The 2016 edition of Men's African Club Championship was one of the most successful
Cairo, Egypt, February 25, 2017 – The 2017 Men's African Club Championship will feature a record 28 teams when it starts in the Tunisian capital on March 17. The competition in Tunis will run to March 27.

The Men's Club Championship is considered to be the premier volleyball competition in Africa. It attracted 24 teams in the last editions in 2015 and 2016.

The African Volleyball Confederation gave priority to those teams who sent in their team lists, participation fees and travel details ahead of the competition.

The registered teams include most of the previous champions led by record holders Ahly of Egypt (11 titles) and Tunisia's Sfax (six titles). Among the other favourites are Esperance of Tunisia (four titles) and their archrivals Etoile du Sahel (two titles).
