Lausanne, Switzerland, February 16, 2017 – Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes can wrap up the Brazilian Beach Volleyball Tour crown at the upcoming Maceio Open that runs from February 17-19.

The pair need to reach the quarterfinals of the seventh stop on the Brazil Tour to retain the title they have won for the past two seasons.

So far this season they have won three golds and one silver and earlier this month topped the podium at the Fort Lauderdale Major Series that marked the opening of the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.

“I am very happy and it will be more special because it is in Maceio where everything started,” Talita said. “I have a great affection for the city and the people.”

In the men’s tournament Alvaro Filho and Saymon Santos continue to lead the rankings after they won bronze at the most recent tournament in Joao Pessoa, a tournament that was won by George Wanderley and Thiago Santos Barbosa.
