This season's tour will have six stops followed by a final. The South American Confederation (CSV) ranking, including the previous and the current seasons, will determine the best four countries per gender to qualify for the FIVB Beach World Championship to be held next July in Vienna, Austria.
In addition the next three seasons rankings including the current will qualify the best five countries for the Pan-American Games Lima 2019 with Peru already qualified as organizer country.
Friday and Saturday morning matches will qualify teams in Pools settled as per their ranking. Live streaming is available at http://bit.ly/2kvr5wC
South America has ranked countries and not pairs and adds only points to the best country's performance and results. Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia finished last season in the lead of the women's table, with Brazil finished first, Argentina second and Venezuela third in the men's.
Brazil will be represented in Coquimbo by eight athletes: Ana Patricia/ Rebecca and Vitor Felipe/Jo and the U23 pairs Taina/ Victoria and Arthur Lanci / George. The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation qualify the best ranked pairs of the Brazilian Tour and at their U23 Tour with each team being able to participate at only two South American stops giving all pairs the same chance to grow.
Virginia Zonta / Estefania Milesi and Julian Azaad / Nicolas Capogrosso, who participated in the final matches of the third stop of the Argentine Tour with the gold won by Milesi / Zonta and the silver for Azaad / Capogrosso will represent Argentina in this competition.
Last year, Argentina won the title with Julian Azaad / Pablo Bianchi while Nicolas Capogrosso / Ian Mehamed finished third.
For third consecutive season DIRECTV SPORTS will broadcast the best South American Beach Volleyball in channels 1616 and 616 for all South American, Caribbean, USA and Canada.
