Sri Lanka Volleyball launches book to celebrate centenary
Colombo, Sri Lanka, December 15, 2016 – The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation recently launched a book entitled “100 years for Sri Lanka Volleyball” authored by former secretary of the national federation Susil Ranasinghe in celebration of their 100-year anniversary at the Maharagama Youth Service Indoor Stadium, at the end of the President’s Gold Cup Volleyball Tournament final.

The book was presented to the president of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, who attended with sports minister Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara and current state minister of highways and former president of the national federation Hon. Dilan Perera, and incumbent national federation officials.
The book features information, scenes, historical photographs, international and regional information, and a collection of activities, written to the news and periodicals of Sri Lanka, which was compiled by Ranasinghe.
Ranasinghe also authored the book “Volleyball Then and Now”, which was launched in 2013, focusing on the history of volleyball in Sri Lanka.
