Caracas, Venezuela, December 3, 2016 – Venezuela’s revered tactician Mauro Hernandez, who is in Lorca, Spain, fulfilling commitments with the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation, will be back at the helm of his country’s beach volleyball team.

Venezuela Volleyball Federation president Judith Rodriguez announced on Saturday that the Carabobo-native will return to Venezuela at the end of December to prepare for the start of the national team training early next year.

“Mauro Hernandez is a coach who knows how to win, as he had a successful coaching career in beach volleyball,” Rodriguez said. “He has led our national team to win a silver medal at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games and the bronze medal at the FIVB Beach Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship.”
