China captain Bei Wu blocks Colombia Diana Arrechea

Brno, Czech Republic, June 25, 2013 – Guided by the delicious setting of Xintong Chen, China beat Colombia 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-17) to confirm their leadership in Pool B. China is the only team of the World Championship’s first phase with a 12-0 set record, since Brazil has lost 1 set during the pool round just finished.

Especially with Maria Margarita Martinez (9 points), chosen by Colombia coach - the Brazilian Mauro Marasciulo - in his starting six from the second set, the South American squad tried to penetrate the perfect Chinese playing system. The team leader Danna Escobar (12 points) played at her utmost, but again China showed to Kajot arena their perfect shape as one of the best team here at the 2013 Women’s U20 World Championship. Ting Zhu scored 19 points continuing her sprint with Dominican Republic Elizabeth Martinez in the best scorer ranking.
