Algeria refresher course followed by training session for women referees
 
Algerian teams have had international success, and FAVB is working to develop the country's officials as well
Bejaia, Algeria, January 7, 2013 – On December 21 and 22, the Algerian Volleyball Federation (FAVB) brought French instructor André Glaive to Bejaia for a refresher course on blocking, high and low reception, and passing.

The participants working through the three themes in Béjaïa included sports instructors, teachers and coaches of all levels.

From December 23 to 27, FAVB also organised its second training session for female referees – an initiative supporting the FIVB’s new development strategy. Classes were held at Ain Benian, in Algiers. The course, led by former international referee Kamel Mokhtari, was designed to prepare new candidates for an international referee programme to be held in 2013/2014.
