FIVB middle blocker Technical Seminar concluded in Tehran
From Saturday to Wednesday, mornings were devoted to theoretical classes and afternoons to practical sessions under the supervision of FIVB instructor Adachi Tatsuya. Thirty participants, including international coaches, participated in the seminar.
Adachi, who came to Tehran from Japan, gave sessions on the fundamental movements of the middle blocker, progressive training, physical fitness, psychological preparation, improved systems and tactics. Each subject was discussed and explained before being worked on by the instructor and participants. The course ended with a question-and-answer session on Wednesday afternoon.
Most of the participants were well-known figures in Iranian volleyball. They included coaches, managers, analysts, and trainers, and former star player Ahmad Masajjedi – who provided translation as he speaks both English and Japanese.
The closing ceremony was attended by general secretary Mahmoud Afshardout and international events director Ghaffar Derakhshandeh. Certificates were awarded to all the participants of the seminar.
