Pinerua keeps Venezuela's Olympic hopes alive

Lausanne, Switzerland, October 18, 2015 - The South American Olympic qualifying tournament was a bitter pill for Venezuela’s sport lovers. Playing on home soil against Argentina, Venezuela extended the final match to a tiebreak and led 10-9. But with the scores level at 11-11, Argentina’s Cristian Poglajen used his powerful serve to give his side a three-point advantage. Argentina took the set 15-12 and with it the match and a ticket to the Rio Games.
